In the midst of Movember, a few misplaced hairs can mean the difference between a perfect mustache and a gorilla’s chin Perhaps that’s why on-demand car service Uber is offering a new service that aims to keep chins and upper lips in top shape.

Sponsored by EDGE for Men — a local male grooming service — Uber users can now request a barber for an on-site, at home snip and shave.
To transport your personal barber to your door for free, all you need do is open the app between 10am and 4pm on Thursday 27 November. The razor icon is the key, so toggle it, select your location and your barber will be dropped on your stoep within a few minutes.
Get this though — they’ll be fully equipped with a barber chair and rug. Nice touch, Uber.

In a press release rife with puns, Uber also notes that those taking part in the promotion can win an EDGE paper pack full of care products for men.
Uber isn’t exactly a company to shy away from strange marketing opportunities. It has previously offered free helicopter rides for its Cape Town anniversary and, perhaps more to everyone’s liking, free ice cream back in July.
