Tech company Ericsson has announced their launch of a ‘Pitch & Win’ session for entrepreneurs at the AHUB event. The event will be part of a three-day programme taking place on November centred around entrepreneurs.
In partnership with mobile solutions laboratory and startup accelerator mLab, five entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to pitch their company in front of a select panel of judges on 18 November at the Ericsson AHUB.

The judges are looking for rapidly scaling tech startups meeting a need in the African market that’s also applicable globally. The criteria will also include passionate team members to attract more talent as well as those seeking investment, mentors or partners.

Each startup will have three minutes to pitch in front of the panel and answer questions from the judges. Finalists will receive feedback from the judges on their pitches and ideas and a winner will be named.
The winners will be awarded a range of benefits to boost their business, which includes a membership to mLab, invitation to the AfricaCom Awards gala dinner, an email interview on the AfricaCom post-show, a guest blog post in the Com World Series blog, as well as a speaking slot in future AcricaCom/ABUH events.
The judging panel will consist of Derrick Kotze, CEO of mLab Southern Africa; Mariya I. Bouraima, founder of Aveya Creative; Peter Martin, associate at Northwind Capital; and a yet to be named representative from Ericsson.
