Don’t have enough time to organise your laundry? Well, for those living in Johannesburg, Just Laundry is here to make your life easier. Similar to the likes of Washr in Cape Town, Just Laundry lets you place an order for someone to pick up your laundry. It’s like Uber for laundry.
“We simply enable a Johannesburg resident to have their laundry cleaned while they relax. Our dedicated team will rock up at your door, clean and have your laundry delivered in just 24 hours or less,” says founder William Thubakgale, who’s also Layby Cafe.
On top of this, Just Laundry also includes a sweet treat to go with your clean clothes.
According to a recent press release sent to Ventureburn, Just Laundry’s clients are mainly adults between 25 and 40 years of age. The startup estimates that the average urban professional spends two and a half hours on laundry and dry cleaning each week. A further 70% report laundry as their least favourite household chore.
While only available in Johannesburg and the Polokwane area, the service plans to expand to Durban and Cape Town by the end of the year.
