“This is an investment round for scalable and disruptive startups looking for international investors and ready to take their startups outside South Africa into Africa and beyond,” says founder and CEO of Victoria Lion Partners (sister company to LakeStreet), Lydia Ofori, to Ventureburn.
In order to participate, the startups need to be post-revenue, in a position to take capital, and ideally, have concluded an investment round in the past. While the event isn’t sector dependant, it is looking for startups in the healthtec, edutech, fintech, AI, and blockchain categories.
“This is the concluding part of an investment round – the final part of the due diligence. Which means that startups will begin speaking with investors the moment they sign up. We provide advice on positioning, presentation and due diligence through to the investment end (which is again sourced by us at Victoria Lion Partners).”
