“I entered this competition to learn, but I did not expect to win. I’m very grateful for this opportunity and cannot wait to join Seedstars for the Regional Summit next month in Kigali,” said CEO of CADx, Gift Gana in a press release to Ventureburn.”The last advice for all of the entrepreneurs would be to just go ahead and follow your dream.”

CADx is an advanced Digital Imaging and Communication in Medicine (DICOM) viewer which converts x-ray images to viewable DICOMs

Part of the Seedstars World Zimbabwe prize is the opportunity for the startup to participate at the Seedstars regional summit next month in Kigali from 7 to 9 December 2016. CADx will also go on to the final pitching round at the global summit in Switzerland next year where they will compete to win up to US$1-million in equity.

The week-long training programme will give the finalists  an opportunity to network with mentors and investors from around the world. The final day of the summit will see the contestants delivering their final pitch in front of 1000 attendees.

Placing second in the Zimbabwean leg of the event was Road Rules, an interactive mobile application for getting your drivers license. Round Solutions, a B2B ecommerce platform that allows tuckshops to buy directly from manufacturers, came in third.

“This event is truly one of a kind providing the winner with a chance to win a trip to Zurich, Switzerland, and mix with like-minded peers from emerging nations who are ready to make a positive impact on our globe,” said the co-founder of the Impact Hub Network Harare, Tadzoka Pswarayi.
