OfferZen passes recruitment milestone
Online recruiting marketplace, OfferZen has helped more than 250 SA companies recruit top software developers through their platform.
The recruitment platform has recently passed its recruiting milestone, having averaged 40% compound growth each month since its launch. According to OfferZen, they’re now placing one developer into a permanent position every day.
Software developers seeking a new job create a profile on the platform, which is followed by an advisory process on the hiring process of companies on OfferZen. The job seeker, with help from OfferZen, negotiates their salary and prepares for an interview to best understand how to market and sell themselves.
To ensure that only the best companies get listed on the platform, OfferZen vets partners for the service. Some big name companies listed on the site include Barclays, GetSmarter, Takealot, Zappi, Superbalist, Allan Gray, Rhino Africa and 24.com.
OfferZen has helped many startups find suitable software developers
“We wanted to provide a platform where software developers can find meaningful work that pays well. We flip the normal recruitment model around, so instead of applying for jobs, companies send you interview requests with upfront salary,” said co-founder Philip Joubert.
“The advantage of receiving interview requests with the salary offered upfront is that the developers don’t spend valuable time interviewing with companies that can’t afford them,” he continued.
“We’ve been really excited by this exceptional growth in such a short period of time,” said co-founder Malan Joubert. “OfferZen has done really well through word-of-mouth — people and companies love the service and they are telling others about it.”
Brothers Malan and Philip Joubert started OfferZen in 2015, after a venture in Silicon Valley, seeking to apply what they’ve learnt here in SA. Brett Jones, a computer science graduate with experience in recruiting, has also joined their team, thereafter launching the popular recruitment platform in full force.
