Wedding platform startup Plan My Wedding has secured a R400 000 investment from Sharks Gil Oved (co-founder and CEO of the Creative Counsel) and Dawn Nathan Jones (former CEO of Euro Car), each receiving a 25% equity stake.
Plan My Wedding is an online wedding platform founded by Chelsea Evans and Jason Newmark, helping couples plan their entire wedding through the platform.

The platform allows couples to diarise relevant dates, provides them with practical guidance, budgets, tools and checklists. Users will also have their own personal dashboard which offers a wide variety of service providers to choose from. The platform also features a 24-hour support chat line.

The platform’s search engine allows couples to search for relevant suppliers and vendors with a specific price range and wedding locations to match their budget. These services are free to use with a paid option which provides even more for engaged couples. The platform also provides flights and honeymoon packages which users can choose from.
Wedding vendors and service providers can sign up to the website for free to showcase their offerings. They’ll also have the option to upgrade packages to improve their exposure on the platform and receive added benefits. The platform will also allow these vendors and service providers to contact couples and schedule appointments.
