Applications are open for social-impact entrepreneurs to attend the Spark Accelerator Programme in Johannesburg next year.
Australians social impact support organisation Spark announced recently on its website that is seeking entrepreneurs who have launched an enterprise that is making a difference in the lives of South Africans (by improving education, health, homes or creating good jobs) and who want to scale their enterprise to impact many more people.
Successful applicants will be able to attend an “intensive” five day workshop which runs from 15 to 20 April in Johannesburg. Participants will also be able to access the Spark support network to receive ongoing training and support from Spark.
The top participants will be able to qualify for larger amounts of funding from the Spark Accelerator of over $25 000
The organisation provides participants with 12 months of access to graphic designers, website creators, business coaches, mentors, research assistants, lawyers and accountants. Ventures also has the opportunity to continually apply for small seed grants of up to R10 000.
The best participants will be able to qualify for larger amounts of funding — of over 10 000 Australian dollars ($25 000) and get assistance to connect to investor partners.
