Top startup events in South Africa, Africa you should know about this week [11/12/2017]
Looking to get into the South African startup scene or catch up on some of your skills? Well, you’ve come to the right place. There are loads of competitions, networking sessions and workshops happening around South Africa and the rest of the continent (namely Kenya, Nigeria and Ghana) that we’ve rounded up to make your life a bit easier.

Cape Town

Heavy Chef Year End Celebration
Heavy Chef and Huawei are hosting the leaders of the top five most exciting startups in South Africa, as voted by members of Heavy Chef’s community, each startup leader will present a 10-minute presentation on how they’re changing the world.
The keynote for the evening will be presented by Silicon Valley angel investor Zach Coelius who sold his previous startup to LinkedIn in 2015 and recently led the angel round in Cruise Automation that led to a $1-billion sale to General Motors last year.

African Youth Leadership and Entrepreneurship Summit 2017
With an expected 1000 delegates, 100 exhibitors and 10 speakers, the African Youth Leadership and Entreprneurship Summit will be the one of the biggest entrepreneurship events to ever be hosted in Angola.

Seedstars Africa Regional Summit
After visiting more than 20 different countries in Africa between May to November, Seedstars is bringing together the best entrepreneurs from across the continent for a regional conference and bootcamp.
