Participants of the Entrepreneurship Development Programme will each get $5 000 in seed funding
The foundation will select a total of 1000 entrepreneurs to join the programme’s fourth cohort. Each participant will receive $5 000 in seed capital as well as access to further funding.
In addition, participating startups can also expect 12 weeks of intensive online training, mentoring and access to the foundation’s global network of contacts and other African startups.
In an earlier press release the foundation’s CEO Parminder Vir called on women, as well French and Portuguese speakers to also apply.
The fourth cohort of the programme is part of the foundation’s commitment to identify, train and fund 10 000 African entrepreneurs by 2024. Since the progamme’s launch in 2014, the foundation has trained 3000 entrepreneurs across three cohorts.
