Cape Town based Tsiba Education college has made 30 additional scholarships available to help what it says is the “critical” national shortage for funded spaces at South African universities.
In a press release Tsiba Education said in the 14 years the college has offered its accredited BBA business degree, its graduate success rate has consistently remained double the national average with a 93% employment rate. The course is valued at R55 000 a year.

Students who meet the entrance criteria — which is a Grade 12 with Bachelor’s Pass (with maths) — will be considered for immediate acceptance into a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree.
Despite the college aiming to get graduates to start their own business, very few do run their own business. A Financial Mail report last revealed that only about 10% of the 1000 young graduates since the programme began in 2005 were running businesses.
