The London Business School (LBS) Africa Club is calling on Africa’s best early-stage startups to apply for consideration for the inaugural Accel Entrepreneurshp Awards.
The Accel Entrepreneurship Awards aim to showcase emerging entrepreneurial talent from Africa to venture capitalists (VCs) and industry specialists.

The awards, which take place in April in London, will see the top three startups get a share of £15 000. Interested applicants have up until 23 March to apply for consideration.

In an email to Ventureburn, Africa Club executive committee member Tseke Maserumule said for entrepreneurs to be eligible they must have a proof of concept or a minimum viable product.
In addition, applicants must be able to demonstrate interest in getting mentorship and ability to secure further funding for their ideas.
Selected entrepreneurs will receive a fully sponsored trip to London in April where they will participate in a mentorship programme with LBS members.
Thereafter, the participants will in May pitch and present their enterprises in front of business professionals, industry experts and investors at the London Business School African Business Summit (LBS ABS), culminating in the selection of the top three startups.
