CiTi, City of Cape Town to host Top Tech Tools for Women in Business course

The Cape Innovation and Technology Initiative (CiTi) in partnership with the City of Cape Town will next month host a 10-week Top Tech Tools for Women in Business course aimed at helping women entrepreneurs grow their businesses using tech.

The Top Tech Tools for Women in Business course is set to kick off on 4 April at the Bandwidth Barn in Woodstock.

The free course — which is sponsored by the City of Cape Town — hopes to empower female entrepreneurs by providing them with training on how to effectively deploy tech tools that are more suited for their businesses.

Past participants of The Top Tech Tools for Women in Business initiative have gone on to increase their average monthly turnover

A statement on the initiative’s website says that last year’s participants “increased their average monthly turnover and made lasting connections with their fellow programme members”.

The course, which is facilitated by female business leaders, will also present participants with networking opportunities where they can interact with other women entrepreneurs.

How to apply

Applications for the course are open to women founders and CEOs who have enterprises that have been running for at least a year and either currently use tech solutions like project management app Trello, or are interested in using implementing tech more effectively in their businesses.

Applicants must also be based in the Western Cape and must have at least one staff member employed by their business.

Interested entrepreneurs can apply for the course here.
