“We are quite excited about accelerator two,” DHCT chief executive Siraaj Adams told Ventureburn in a call last week.
Digital Health Cape Town launches a second call which now includes incubation support for ideas in the pre-commercialisation stage
The organisation is seeking 10 participants for its second cohort which will kick off later this year and has also made available five places for a five-week incubator to support ideas that don’t necessarily have to be at the commercialisation stage as yet, said Adams.
He said in the second accelerator cohort DHCT will allow those with medical devices, as well as those with tech apps or platforms to apply to the 10-week programme. The first call was aimed at only those with the latter.
Adams said a demo day would be held on 23 April for participants from the first cohort to pitch for funding. It follows the announcement in January of the eight participants selected for the cohort.
