Morocco takes on Spain tonight (8pm Central African Time). The Atlas Lions are yet to find the back of the net in the tournament this year (bar their own goal against Iran), and this will be the last time for any of the team’s players to get their name on the board at this year’s World Cup.
Getting one past the Spanish will not be an easy feat — with a solid defence featuring the likes of Sergio Ramos — given that Spain is also out to top Group B as well. Moroccan players might as well start thinking of what to do after they leave Russia.

Manageo came in second at the 2017 Seedstars Casablanca pitch event
If any of the players decide to get into business, we advise that they give Moroccan business management platform Manageo a go.
Founded in 2015 by CEO Youssef Lemrini (pictured above), the Casablanca-based startup enables entrepreneurs, small businesses, merchants and startups to simplify their invoicing and automate accounting.
Although the startup has only managed to raise raise $200 000 from the Maroc Numeric Fund, Manageo has managed to sign on over 5800 users since launch.
Earlier this year, the startup beat ten other finalists to win Arabnet’s Startup Battle Casablanca. Last year, Manageo placed second at the Seedstars Casablanca pitch event.
This piece, harbouring the spirit of the FIFA World Cup, is part of a 12-part series in which Ventureburn aims to draw attention to and celebrate African innovation and African startups.
