Top startup events in South Africa, Africa you should know about this week [9/07/2018]

MEST Africa is hosting two masterclasses this week in Cape Town. The first by MEST Lagos general manager Neku Atawodi will look at what startups should know about entering the Nigerian market. The second, by tech consultant Alexandra Fraser will focus on the seven steps to funding.

If you’re in Pretoria, join Startup Grind tomorrow (9 July) as it hosts Phathizwe Malinga, acting CEO of tech company SqwidNet.

In West Africa, there are three Ghana Tech Week events scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday on female founders, smart city innovation and “exponential” tech. If you’re in Nigeria and are into artificial intelligence, you might want to join the AI info-session by IBM to find out how you can benefit from the IBM Digital Nation Africa initiative.
