SweepSouth CEO and founder Aisha Pandor has been confirmed to speak at the launch of the 2018 Ventureburn Tech Startup Survey which takes place this Thursday (15 November) at Workshop 17 in Rosebank, Johannesburg.
Pandor (pictured above) last week celebrated after her startup clinched the award for the best small business category at the inaugural Southern Africa Venture Capital Association (Savca) business awards.

She will also be joined on stage by business mentor Pavlo Phitidis, the CEO of Aurik Business Accelerator, who is a regular contributor to 702 Talk Radio and 567 Cape Talk Radio.
The third edition of the Ventureburn Tech Startup Survey was run in partnership with Telkom Futuremakers and analytics company Qurio. The study aims to gain a better understanding of how SA’s tech startup sector works.
Google SA head of public affairs and communication Mich Atagana will give the opening and closing remarks. Telkom’s executive for BEE Transformation Sane Bakula will also speak at the launch, while Ventureburn editor Stephen Timm and Qurio CEO Alex Nelson will present the findings of the survey.

Pandor launched on-demand cleaning service SweepSouth in 2014 with Alen Ribic. The startup is Africa’s first online platform for home cleaning services as well as the first South African company to be accepted into the 500 Startups accelerator in Silicon Valley.
Last year Pandor was recognised by the World Economic Forum (WEF) as one one of six African female breakthrough innovators for the impact SweepSouth has made on digital and financial inclusivity amongst economically disadvantaged women.
