Johannesburg-based digital business development agency NubiaNetwork will on Thursday (25 April) launch its Apps for Africa competition which will provide the winner with an app development package.
NubiaNetwork digital business developer Candice Simone told Ventureburn last Wednesday (17 April) that contestants can enter the competition by downloading the NubiaNetwork app and uploading their profile.

The deadline to upload profiles on the app is 25 May. Thereafter, NubiaNetwork will announce the top 10 finalists, who will be selected based on the number of votes their profiles pull.
The winner of the Apps for Africa competition will be announced on 25 June
On 25 June, the agency will announce the profile with the most votes as the winner of an app development package.
The prize entails the full development of a web-based mobile app, which will commence on 1 July and is expected to span three to six months.
NubiaNetwork will also guide the winner throughout the process in terms of digital business development.
In addition the firm will assist all the top 10 finalists of the competition raise funding to develop their apps through a crowdfunding round.
