Top startup events in South Africa, Africa you should know about this week [30/6/2019]

If you’re in Cape Town this week, join Startup Grind Cape Town as it hosts HAVAIC partner Grant Rock, Springlab founder Sheraan Amod and HAVAIC senior associate Kiara Suttner-Tromp for an investor readiness and pitching masterclass on Wednesday (3 June).

On Thursday (4 July) Rack Centre managing director Tunde Coker will speak at the 19th CFA’s Startups Hangout. Each session enables startups connect with successful entrepreneurs and top executives who have garnered tons of experiences that money simply can’t buy.

Elsewhere on the continent, Kampala will host the African Blockchain Conference and tech expo on Wednesday and Thursday (3 and 4 July). Also look out for Next.Legal Summit events taking place in Rwanda and Uganda on Friday (5 July).

Uganda

Africa Blockchain Conference

The Blockchain Association of Uganda in collaboration with CryptoSavannah will host this year’s edition of the Africa Blockchain Conference with a focus on preparing the continent for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

The conference will also host the Africa 4.0 Tech Expo where tech companies from around the world will exhibit their work in artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, autonomous vehicles, smart systems and more.

Impact Investment Summit
