To apply startups need to have a minimum viable product, and innovation and entrepreneurial component and a focus on technology for good.
Applications close 28 July.
In a statement last week, the department’s director for technology and entrepreneurship Elena Williams said the aim of the event is to share skills and find opportunities to develop mutually prosperous and thriving partnerships.
Developed within the framework of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Prosperity Games is a chance for SA tech founders to access learning opportunities in a supportive and inclusive environment.
UK-SA Tech Hub director Shirley Gilbey, commenting in the same statement, called the Prosperity Games event “the perfect way” for entrepreneurs to learn how to better frame, pitch and engage investors and in so doing, improve their chances of securing funding.
