Durban based venture capital (VC) fund Kingson Capital and Cape Town accelerator Akro Accelerate are looking for 20 startups to pitch during an event that will take place on 28 and 29 August in Cape Town.

Ten lucky startups will be selected for a two-week bootcamp in the US, while Kingson Capital will look to invest in those selected.
On pitch day, the 20 pre-selected startups will be expected to submit a three-minute pitch and a summary sheet of their concept.

Those interested can apply here. The deadline for applications is next Friday (23 August).
Joining the 20 pre-selected startups will be Owulo, the winner of the first ever UCT Shark-Tank which took place on 2 August.
The startup — which was founded by UCT finance and accounting student Tofunmi Olagoke (pictured above) — runs an online booking platform for health and beauty treatments, beat seven other student startups.
