Want to showcase your edtech startup’s solutions to the world?

Conference organiser Terrapinn has six free exhibition spots left at its EduTech Africa 2019 Startup Pavilion.

Terrapinn networking manager Brian Mushongera told Ventureburn earlier this week that 33 companies have already confirmed that they will be exhibiting at the event which will take place on 9 and 10 October at the Sandton Convention Centre.

The free EduTech Africa 2019 Startup Pavilion spots are each valued at R25 000

EduTech Africa — which bills itself as Africa’s largest education conference and exhibition — aims to bring together edtech professionals and suppliers from across Africa’s education sector.

The Department of Basic Education endorsed event is expected to be attended by over 3500 edtech professionals and will feature over 50 free seminars and 150 speakers.

Mushongera said the offer is open to startups who provide the following :

  • Digital learning and teaching platforms
  • ICT solutions and infrastructure
  • Mobile learning platforms and apps
  • Content and content management platforms
  • Assessment and communication platforms
  • Security and access control
  • Management, finance and administration tools
  • Special needs and inclusive education tools
  • Music and audio visual tech
  • Tablets, PCs and laptops
  • School equipment and outdoor suppliers
  • Classroom equipment and hardware

To apply, startups must contact Mushongera and provide the following: their company name, the year the company was founded, whether the company has received any external funding or not and if so how much they raised and whether the startup is owned by a larger organisation or not.

Those selected to exhibit at EduTech Africa 2019 will be provided with exhibition passes for team members, 2m² x 1m² floor space, marketing opportunity on EduTech Africa’s website as well as a post event report.

In addition, the startups also stand to benefit from an opportunity to meet with potential buyers, full access to the conference’s networking app.

All this, Mushongera said, is valued at R25 000.
