Top startup events in South Africa, Africa you should know about this week [8/9/2019]

Arguably South Africa’s top event this week is the SA Innovation Summit which takes place between Wednesday and Friday (11 and 13 September).

The summit offers competitions, practical workshops, panel discussions, networking and business matching opportunities and a line-up of local and international speakers.

In Johannesburg tomorrow (9 September) Startup Guide will hold the launch party for its Startup Guide Johannesburg at Tshimologong Precinct.

In Nigeria a startup funding workshop in Port Harcourt on Saturday (14 September) will cover expert tips, what pitfalls to avoid and what investors are looking for.

Those in Kenya can join Deputy High Commissioner to Kenya Susie Kitchens on Wednesday to learn more about role the UK-Kenya Tech Hub is playing in the country.
