Dakar Network Angels (DNA) has called on tech entrepreneurs in Francophone Africa to apply for its DNA Cohort #3 programme — which aims to assist participants to scale quickly and become sustainable or fundable.

DNA is looking for entrepreneurs who are using tech to build solutions that solve one of Africa’s major challenges and have a significant potential market.

To be considered for the cohort, applicants must have companies that are under five-years old and have founders that work on the product full-time.

In addition, the companies must be scalable and have the ability to expand to at least two countries other than the primary market.

DNA was launched in March. The network’s founder Marième Diop told Ventureburn in April that the angel investment network aims to make four investments each year in francophone Africa, with investment ticket sizes of between $20 000 and $100 000 (see this story).
