AI Media Group is also the organiser of AI Expo Africa, which claims to be the largest B2B trade-focused AI event on the continent.

The Africa AI Stories Series features interviews with Cape Town AI‘s Pieter Boon, Silicon Cape‘s Sumarie Roodt, AI In Africa co-founder Lee Chana and Africa Business Integration co-founder Thabo Koee, among others.

The company’s co-founder and director Nick Bradshaw (pictured above, left with DataProphet’s country sales manager Isaac Matsa) says the aim behind the series is to tell “an inspiring good news story” about home grown AI innovation across the region.

The series also seeks to counter the often negative narrative portrayed in the media of AI destroying jobs, while giving those who cannot afford paid media coverage the opportunity to share their story.

Bradshaw said AI TV has plans to release more stories this year. He called on those that would like to join the initiative, as well as those that want to be interviewed as part of the series to get in touch with the company.

Sixth edition of Synapse magazine launched

Also last month, AI Media Group announced the launch of the sixth edition of its Synapse Magazine, which it dubs “The voice of African AI and data science”.

Bradshaw says the latest edition of the magazine is its “biggest edition yet”. It features a recap of the 2019 AI Expo Africa event.
