CITI calls on Cape Town based female founders to apply to Women in Business programme

Are you a tech-savvy female entrepreneur? The Cape Innovation and Technology Initiative (CITI) has opened applications again for its Women in Business programme.

The programme aims to expose women to the latest technology tools available, to enhance and grow their business.

CITI said in blog post on its website earlier this month that those that take part in the programme can benefit from the extensive knowledge and expertise gained from highly skilled facilitators and mentors.

The programme includes workshops that will run from February to April.

Furthermore, the programme includes an online component of a further 10 modules which are completed over a 10-month period, while group mentoring sessions will take place from May for 10 months after the conclusion of the programme.

To benefit women must:

  • Be based in Cape Town
  • Be the CEO of a registered business that is 100% women-founded and has been operational for at least 18 months.
  • Be aged between 25 and 50
  • Have at least one staff member employed by their business and be available to attend weekly workshops every Tuesday morning (cohort 1) or Thursday morning (cohort 2) for the duration of 10 weeks.

Female entrepreneurs who would like to take part in the Women in Business programme must submit their applications on the Cape Innovation & Technology Initiative’s website.

After applications are received, applicants will be invited to a telephonic or in-person interview, which will determine if you are selected to take part in the programme.
