It is not clear when the round was concluded. Ventureburn on Wednesday sought details on the deal directly from the startup as well as from its founder on LinkedIn but had not received a response at the time of publication.
The startup, which has partnerships with Visa, Stripe, Mpesa and Mercedes Benz, reportedly has operations in Angola and Uganda, as well as Kenya.
On his LinkedIn profile, Wrey states that the startup has raised more than $700 000 in funding.
US business intelligence platform Crunchbase estimates that prior to this latest deal, QuickBus raised $720 00 across two seed funding rounds in 2018.
