Breadfast, a Cairo-based startup which delivers breakfast products to its users, is preparing to close a Series-B round and has just launched what its CEO Mostafa Amin claimed in a LinkedIn post today, is the “first native cloud supermarket in Africa and the Middle East”.
“In the coming months, Breadfast will be everywhere across Egypt and our team will take the first steps to explore outside-home city expansion,” said Amin in the post.

It comes after tech publication MenaBytes reported in an article yesterday that the startup — which Amin founded in 2017 with Muhammad S. Habib and Abdullah Nofal — had raised another “seven-figure” investment, in a pre-Series-B round.

The investment came from a number of investors.
MenaBytes listed these as Y Combinator’s founder Paul Graham, Gmail founder Paul Buchheit, Endure Capital, Abu Dhabi-based Shorooq Partners, San Francisco-based Pioneer Fund, NHN Ventures, and what it said the startup “strategic players” from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), US, UK and Tanzania.
The publication reported that the startup claims to be delivering tens of thousands of orders every month and is looking to expand across Middle East, Africa and Turkey in the next three years, with a Dubai launch planned by the end of this year.
The latest investment round that the startup has landed, follows a seven-figure Series-A round led by 500 Startups and Egyptian business man Mohamed El Sewedy that the startup announced in June last year (see this story).
