Top startup web events in South Africa, Africa you should know about this week [13/04/2020] [Updated]

On Wednesday (15 April) LaunchLab CEO and entrepreneur Josh Romisher will detail his top five lessons from building a business in Africa.

Tomorrow join three of South Africa’s top thinkers — Richard Mulholland, Ntsako Mokwena and Annette Muller — in a Heavy Chef webinar as they discuss remote working.

Ventureburn has updated its existing weekly series that highlights all the top startup events in Africa, by shifting to focus only on web events broadcast from Africa. This includes webinars as well.

Lockdown discussions

Join the discussion by business advisors, consultants, mentors, coaches and others who are supporting small businesses and entrepreneurs to learn how they help their small business clients to address their lockdown challenges and connect with other practitioners who are also making sense of working in isolation.

The online meeting takes place each Tuesday and will be facilitated by business mentor Christoff Oosthuysen.

Johannesburg based business support organisation Aurik Business Accelerator is hosting a regular series of webinars to assist business owners to tackle the coronavirus.

Free Knife Capital webinars

Building a business in Africa

In this talk, part of the Stellenbosch Network Business Lecture Series Webinar on Innovation in Africa, LaunchLab CEO Josh Romisher (pictured above) will detail his top five lessons from building a business in Africa.

Romisher spent over six years in the African solar home system sector as the former CFO of Fenix International and vice president of corporate finance at Zola Electric.

He will be joined by Stellenbosch University/USB Professor and Head of Future Studies Programmes, Professor André Roux.
