Endeavor selects Kobo360’s Obi Ozor and Ife Oyedele to join organisation

Endeavor, a non-profit organisation that supports high-impact entrepreneurs around the world, has welcomed two new African entrepreneurs into its global network — Ife Oyedele and Obi Ozor, who are the founders of Kobo360.

Kobo360’s digital platform — which was launched in 2017 by Oyedele and Ozor (pictured above, from left to right) — matches cargo-owners with truck owners, while providing real-time updates throughout the entire delivery process.

In August last year the startup landed a $20-million investment in a round led by US multinational investment bank and financial services company Goldman Sachs (see this story).

The two were selected by Endeavor to join the organisation on 21 May 21, along with eight other entrepreneurs, at its third virtual international selection panel (ISP). The remainder hail from the US, United Arab Emirates and Indonesia.

Endeavor now supports 2069 entrepreneurs leading 1290 companies in 37 markets around the world.

In a statement yesterday Ozor said it was an honour welcomed into Endeavor.

“As entrepreneurs, we wanted to turn African problems into African opportunities. Focusing on logistics, Oyedele and I started Kobo360 to not only fix the inefficiencies that exist, but to build opportunities for the businesses we serve and most importantly, the hundreds of thousands of truck drivers across Africa,” said Ozor.

With the addition of Ozor and Oyedele, Endeavor Nigeria itself, now supports 16 entrepreneurs who lead 10 scale-up stage companies in Nigeria, spanning fintech, renewable energy, entertainment, logistics and retail.

Endeavor Nigeria CEO Eloho Gihan-Mbelu called Ozor and Oyedele “inspiring founders”, saying their relentless focus on scaling Kobo360 serves as an inspiration to high-impact entrepreneurs everywhere.
