This week, the accomplished Gift Lubele, Co-Founder & COO of Kudoti will be sharing 5 Deadly Entrepreneurial Myths that have killed many businesses and amazing ideas.

Kudoti is a waste management start-up that was named by Fast Company SA as one of 2020’s Most Innovative Companies. Gift will also be representing South Africa at the Annual Investment Meeting Startup National Champions League happening in Dubai. This is not one to miss.

Lessons from small and medium enterprises

WorkInProgress (WIP), an Absa innovation lab, will be hosting a webinar series titled Wise-Up Wednesday Sessions. These sessions will feature real-life successes and lockdown challenges faced by small and medium South African enterprises. This week, Wise-Up Wednesday sessions welcome Vuyisa Qabaka from Pan African innovation advisory firm, HYBR. Oabaka boasts decades of experience in management, technology, and entrepreneurship and is a small business advisor, investor, and capital fundraiser.

Qabaka will offer insight into how businesses might scale, even in the time of Covid-19 as well as details on his businesses in a turbulent and unpredictable 2020.

SMME’s and Covid-19 

Fasken, a business law and litigation firm presents through their Yakha Isizwe Business Law Helpdesk, a Pro Bono Webinar for SMME’s on Covid-19. The event is held in collaboration between Fasken, UJCfE, and Probono.org. The webinar aims to empower entrepreneurs and will focus on contractual obligations, tax measures, and industrial relations during the time of Covid-19. The webinar will take place on Zoom.
