US-based venture capital firm, Enygma Ventures has extended the funding application to 15 January 2021.

Female applicants located in the SADC region in Africa with a business idea or existing operational business that is seeking capital are encouraged to apply.

How to apply
Enygma Ventures has reported that up to $1-million in growth capital funding is available for existing businesses that are wanting to scale up and accelerate their growth.

2020 Investments
Enygma reportedly made seven seed round investments into women-led businesses, investing over R50-million in Africa.
In addition and in partnership with StartUpCircules.ai, Enygma Ventures committed to three pre-seed investments amounting to $25 000 each.
StartupCircles successes
In 2020, the following startups made it through the StartUpCirlces programme;
- Candor Life: A wholesale online platform enabling women in townships and rural areas across South Africa to become retailers in their communities through their unique reseller. model.
- Aya Africa: Described as the Esty of Africa, Aya Africa is a platform that enables African Artisans from across the continent to sell their products online.
- Koa Academy: This startup is the first micro-school in South Africa for children in grades 4-9. Their aim is to reinvent education for our Post-Covid-19 world by creating an alternative education platform.
Each of these startups received $25 000 in pre-seed funding.
