This week’s lineup of events will offer entrepreneurs valuable tips and insight into how to kickstart their career. 

Ventureburn has updated its existing weekly series that highlights all the top startup events in Africa, by shifting to focus only on web events broadcast from Africa.

Social Entrepreneurship

Lifecheq is hosting a webinar discussion with South African-born entrepreneur Allegro Dinkwanyane. Dinkwanyane is the founder and CEO of Orgella Group and to date, she is hailed as one of the youngest owners of a 100% black-owned media company in South Africa.

Dinkwanyane will share golden nuggets of advice on what it takes to build a thriving career in the entrepreneurial sphere. In addition, she will share her entrepreneurial journey and how her leanings towards using her businesses as a vehicle to drive social change have shaped and propelled her career.

Future Females is hosting an event with guest speaker, Damaris Arias on the importance of inclusive entrepreneurship and leadership. The webinar will focus on entrepreneurship, the basics of sign language, and Arias will provide valuable insight from her personal experience as an entrepreneur.

How to find fulfilling work

Hosted by LifeCheq, How to Find Fulfilling Work is part of The School of Life’s practical philosophy series, edited by its founder and chairman, Alain de Botton. The webinar will centre around the teachings from this novel and provide insight into how this can be applied practically to one’s life. 

It offers insight into how one might find fulfilling work by exploring competing claims, like the tension between money and status vs doing something meaningful. How to Find Fulfilling Work draws on sociology, psychology, history, and philosophy.
