Tom-Chris Emewulu, Founder and President of SFAN provides insight into what led to the creation of the event.

“When I was a student entrepreneur, a certain academic figure told me that it was a terrible idea and I might not graduate. But I graduated with a First Class honour. Of course, it was a challenging process because I had to learn a lot. Hence, I created Student Entrepreneurship Week to help co-dreamers and innovators find direction and build their careers.”

The aim of the event is to provide support to students and early-career individuals as it aims to drive entrepreneurship and facilitate the concept of changing mindset from job seekers to job creators.

During the event, selected attendees will have the opportunity to learn from investors and entrepreneurs from Silicon Valley, Africa, the United Kingdom and more.

For the fourth edition of the event, SFAN has partnered with Loveworld Next and Loveworld Business Network. The main focus theme of this year’s event is “The Next Frontier of Innovation and Leadership.”

During the event, a live pitch session will be hosted by Loveworld Next titled ‘The Next Big Thing Pitch Battle’, where participants can win $20 000 in cash. In addition, the event will also award three student entrepreneurs the title of Student Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
