Business owners in Bellville and surrounding areas in the Cape metropolitan are urged to mark their calendars for the launch of the 2023 Bellville Business Expo. The event, hosted by the City of Cape Town and the Greater Tygerberg Partnership (GTP), will take place on Thursday, 8 June 2023, at the Bellville Park Campus at the University of Stellenbosch Business School.

This year’s expo, which is open to the public at no cost, promises to be an event that the Bellville business community won’t want to miss. James Vos, who has just been appointed as acting mayoral committee member for human settlements, said, “The expo will feature a wide range of industries, from technology to finance, hospitality and healthcare. Attendees will get to connect with business development experts, gain valuable insights around operational growth, and explore new business opportunities.”

The 2023 Bellville Business Expo will open doors and give businesses the space to connect and establish relationships with buyers, incubators, and investors, as well as a chance to network and find avenues for collaboration and synergy. This in turn will benefit the wider community with employment and economic prospects across multiple sectors.

Warren Hewitt, chief executive at the Greater Tygerberg Partnership said, “Our goal for this Bellville Business Expo is to bring together local SMME businesses that are ripe and ready for growth to connect, collaborate, and exhibit their products and services with the focus on development and access to new markets.”

Registration is now open for the 2023 Bellville Business Boot Camp programme. Whether they are looking for new markets, growth, or to create new partnerships, interested businesses can register for this programme. There will be an elimination process where the top thirty qualifying businesses will be chosen from those participating in the four-week 2023 Bellville Business Boot Camp programme.

The selected businesses will then be exclusively invited to participate in the 2023 Bellville Business Expo, where all their costs will be sponsored. Other businesses and industry leaders will have the opportunity to register to visit the expo and attend the conference.

The expo vows to give three businesses a fantastic opportunity to walk away with highly valued business growth packages, business mentor partnerships, and business branding prizes.

This, as the boot camp programme is specifically aimed at supporting businesses to participate in the 2023 Bellville Business Expo where they compete and gain the exposure they need to grow their business to a new level. Joining the program also means becoming part of a valuable business platform and community, Bellville Connect, where business owners can grow their businesses and increase their knowledge.

The City and the GTP are committed to the development and success of the city’s vendors and businesses in Bellville and the surrounding areas that are ready for growth.
