This interconnected network facilitates seamless and interoperable transactions, empowering individuals and businesses alike.

The award solidifies MFS Africa’s position as a trailblazer in the fintech arena and reinforces its commitment to driving impactful financial inclusion across the continent, organisers of the awards said.

This prestigious accolade is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire MFS Africa team. We are committed to building payments infrastructure that will last a hundred years and change the ways that Africans transact with each other and the global economy. On behalf of the team, I would like to thank the African Banker Awards for recognising our contributions to the African financial sector.”

The African Banker Awards are held annually during the meetings of the African Development Bank and serve to commend transformative leadership within the African financial services sector. This year’s award ceremony celebrated MFS Africa’s exceptional achievements and highlighted the company’s role in advancing financial inclusion and connectivity across the continent.

MFS Africa firmly believes that access is the key to overcoming barriers and inequities in Africa, rendering borders insignificant. The company operates by connecting enterprises, mobile money operators, money transfer operators, banks, non-bank financial institutions, and online and offline merchants to more than 400 million mobile money wallets in over 35 African countries.

By facilitating domestic and cross-border disbursements and collections through its extensive network, MFS Africa actively works with partners worldwide to diminish the significance of borders. To learn more about their mission, watch their video manifesto.
