A fun-filled week
In the lead-up to the AfricArena summit and Africa Climate Tech Festival, a week filled with engaging activities has been planned to invigorate the tech ecosystem.
Kicking off the week on 3 and 4 September is the Founders’ Bootcamp. This intensive programme promises to supercharge founders’ knowledge in essential areas often neglected by traditional incubation programs. It is an initiative designed to prepare start-ups for the upcoming summit, by equipping them with the necessary tools and insights.
On 5 September, AfricArena SafariX gets underway. Dubbed as the VC UnConference, this gathering is set to draw in the most active investors who are focusing on Africa’s burgeoning tech landscape. This presents an exceptional opportunity to foster co-investment in Africa, and more specifically, in Kenya’s thriving tech environment.
Adding to the immersive experiences, the AfricArena Nairobi Learning Expedition, also taking place on 5 September, offers attendees an unprecedented exploration of the country’s vibrant tech scene. This guided tour will feature visits to various entrepreneurs, investors, and key players in the ecosystem. It aims to foster strategic connections, allowing Kenyan and pan-African start-ups to pair with investors operating in their respective sectors.
This week of activities, culminating in the AfricArena summit and Africa Climate Tech Festival, reinforces the continuous commitment to empower the African tech community and stimulate its growth.
AfricArena says it is eagerly anticipating welcoming attendees to Kenya – a country with a rich multicultural heritage and a gateway to East Africa. Nairobi’s unique position as the world’s only city with a safari park in close proximity and its location near breath-taking landscapes like the African savannah, the Great Rift Valley, and the famed Serengeti-Mara Ecosystem enhances its allure.
