In a grand spectacle of entrepreneurial fervour, Expand North Star 2023, the world’s largest start-up show, commenced today in Dubai Harbour, marking the beginning of a transformative four-day event.

Hosted by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, this year’s edition of Expand North Star has broken all records, bringing together more than 1 800 start-ups from over 100 countries. This unprecedented gathering aims to foster connections, facilitate fundraising, and encourage the exchange of experiences among global peers.

A prelude to the colossal GITEX Global, the world’s largest technology event set to open its doors at the Dubai World Trade Centre on Monday, Expand North Star stands as the powerhouse of innovation within this dynamic tech ecosystem.

With over 1 000 investors managing a staggering US$ 1 trillion and an assembly of 500+ expert speakers, the event serves as a breeding ground for ground-breaking ideas and collaborations, elevating Dubai’s status as a global digital hub.

Taking place at the Middle East’s most prominent superyacht hub, Expand North Star has become the focal point for start-up investor momentum in one of the world’s most diverse scale-up ecosystems. This year’s edition promises an electrifying experience, with a 40 percent increase in exhibition space, totalling a remarkable 2.7 million square feet.

The event delves deep into the realms of innovation, exploring cutting-edge technologies such as AI, cloud computing, Web 3.0, and sustainable digital economies.

A testament to its global reach, the evnt showcases AI Monday, spotlighting rapidly growing AI start-ups, and hosts India Central, an assembly of over 200 Indian start-ups, a first of its kind gathering outside of the country. Additionally, Asia Fast 100 and Africa Fast 100 bring together 100 leading start-ups from each continent, offering a platform for conferences, networking, and dedicated pitch competitions.

In a bid to cater to specific sectors, Expand North Star features three themed sub-events: Fintech Surge, the Future Blockchain Summit, and Marketing Mania. These focused sessions allow entrepreneurs to engage with industry experts, gaining insights and forging strategic partnerships.

The grand finale of the event, the Supernova Challenge, presents a prestigious pitch competition with a substantial prize fund of US$ 200 000. This exciting prospect has added an extra layer of anticipation and enthusiasm among the participants, making Expand North Star 2023 an unmissable opportunity for every visionary entrepreneur.
