How will it work?

The academy will come in the form of a user-friendly web-based platform, available to mobile users, and will provide free access to digital and financial courses, and career guidance including entrepreneurial skills development.

The MTN skills academy’s curriculum is expected to leverage partnerships with Coursera, Pace Career Centre among others to deliver advanced technology and business skills.

With features like low data use and accessibility for differently-abled individuals, the academy is designed to be inclusive and accessible to all.

The plan forward

MTN plans to demonstrate commitment to driving digital transformation in the country. The MTN Skills Academy falls in line with MTN’s mission to ensure that everyone deserves the benefits of digital literacy.

The goal is to inspire and invest in youth skills to create a pipeline of talent that will contribute towards innovation and growth of the digital economy.

With partners such as Pace and Coursera as strategic partners, the MTN Skills Academy is set to be a game-changer for digital education, according to Arthur Mukhuvha, General Manager of the MTN SA Foundation.
