Top startup events in South Africa, Africa you should know about this week [30/05/2016]
Looking to get into the South African startup scene or scratch up on some of your skills? Well, you’ve come to the right place. Startup Grind Hosts Moira Johnston & Nicky Rosin
This month’s Cape Town edition of Startup Grind sees the entrepreneurial talk series host EventRoom co-founders Moira Johnston & Nicky Rosin. The pair’s startup, EventRoom, describes itself as an Airbnb for event spaces.
Its primary aim is to streamline and simplify the fragmented event-booking process with features such as comprehensive search and filter options, upfront pricing, photos and, in the future, reviews.

Building products from the outside in
Product managers are responsible for building the right product. When product management is done correctly, it creates a product that contributes to the bottom line.
In this workshop, participants will to take a product idea and develop a strategy for it using a “strategy canvas”. They will then formulate testable hypotheses and construct experiments to test strategy with customers. We will also determine the market opportunity for the product.
