LaunchLab, ATTACQ to launch growth fund in real estate sector
The real estate Sector stands to benefit from a new partnership between incubator LaunchLab and ATTACQ, a high-quality real estate investor.
The partnership will be driven by the LaunchLab Innovation Platform which will seek to capture new ideas and business models which could enhance the retail industry. Accompanying the LaunchLab Innovation Platform will be LaunchLab Ideas and Lift-Off Programme which aims to help startups every step of the way.
The Ideas Programme extends across all the universities across the Western Cape and Gauteng. Tapping into the potential of student and non-student entrepreneurs allows them to find more innovative ways of operating.
ATTACQ’s desire with this partnership, at least according to a press release, is to build a sustainable pipeline as a value-added for their clients that visit their real-estate properties. Together along with LaunchLab, it wants to address the following:
- Better respond to e-commerce needs of clients
- Address operational issues such as utilities, security and cleaning
- Enhance customer experience and convenience
- Payments within ATTACQ properties
The workshops which form part of the LaunchLab Ideas Programme will help participants hone in on their idea with the most potential which could handle the scrutiny of the pitching contest which follows.
The Pitching Platform will take place on 29 August 2016 with the finalists pitching at the final event on 19 October 2016. The winning innovations stand a chance to win R100 000 in seed funding and LaunchLab incubation to the value of R150 000 for the next six months.
ATTACQ will be carefully monitoring the chosen participants development to gauge their potential and whether they add value to existing clients as well as customers which visit their sites daily.
