Startup accelerator and private fund 88mph has opened applications for its 2014 Cape Town programme — and the application promises to be a quick and painless process in the guise of a simple 20 question form that needs to be completed for entry.

88mph describes itself as a business accelerator for early-stage companies with a mobile-web focus. The programme offers funding — up to US$100 000 — as well as mentorship and three-months of office space based at the vibrant Woodstock Exchange, in Cape Town.

88mph is a partner with Google for Entrepreneurs, and provides not just funding but access to a network of fellow founders, investors and corporate partners. During the programme you can expect to receive advice from its team of advisors on everything from:

  • Product Design and Implementation
  • Going to market
  • Sales
  • Company structure and hiring
  • Funding Options
  • Scalability

88mph also hosts a similar programme in Nairobi, where its 2013 batch of startups are gearing up for Demo Day on 5 December.

For more information on the programme check out the 88mph blog.
