“South Africa’s entrepreneurs running Small & Medium Businesses trust us while they power the country’s economy. It is these entrepreneurs who are the drivers of prosperity and it’s our privilege to support and celebrate their achievements,” says the president for Sage International and Chairman of the Sage Foundation, Ivan Epstein.

“We know that it takes, hard work and sacrifice to turn a dream business idea into a way of life. That’s why we support such businesses and sponsor these Awards every year – to make the voices of the entrepreneurs recognised and heard,” continues Epstein.

“Our Small Business Awards are all about acknowledging the contribution South African entrepreneurs make to the economy and to their communities. Over the years, the Awards have given hundreds of small businesses a platform to tell their stories to the world and grow their businesses,” says Cape Talk station manager, Colleen Louw.

Listeners to the stations are encouraged to nominate those entrepreneurs and small businesses that they think are deserving of the prize and the nomination. More information can be found on the Radio 702 and Cape Talk websites.

Last year, the competition received over 800 entries with Khayelitsha-based Ziyahlanjwa Laundry Services announced as its regional winner.
