Fem-In-Tech Development regional training sessions announced

The Fem-In-Tech Development Programme established by The Small Enterprise Development Agency (Seda), in collaboration with the SA Innovation Summit (SAIS) has announced its online regional training days.

The programme is aimed at providing female founders and owners of technology enterprises including tech start-ups with pitching skills and tools. This will enable participants to develop a compelling pitch to access funding and increased market share. 

This includes tech companies registered as clients at Seda branches and Seda-supported incubators.

The Fem-In-Tech programme (see this story) will equip participants with skills required to grow a successful tech business as a female. It also aims to create opportunities for owners to connect with potential investors and business mentors. 

Online regional training programme details

  • 11 August 2020 – Free State & North West
  • 13 August 2020 – Mpumalanga & Northern Cape
  • 14 August 2020 – Eastern Cape & KwaZulu Natal
  • 18 August 2020 – Limpopo & Western Cape
  • 20 August 2020 – Gauteng

To register for any of the above training sessions, interested participants can visit the online portal.

All participants of Fem-In-Tech will receive full access to the SA Innovation Summit Online Community for a year, where they will be profiled to further facilitate matching, networking, and showcasing of their businesses or products. 

Qualifying startups will have access to the following: 

  • Introduction to Angel and Venture Capital Investors
  • Get to pitch on Demo Day at the SA Innovation Summit on the 29th of September 2020
  • Go on the Anza Capital Digital Tour of Silicon Valley where they will pitch to top VC’s
