Are you an African diaspora entrepreneur looking to take your business to the next level? Look no further than the ENRICH in Africa programme. This comprehensive support system is designed to help you achieve your scaling goals in Ghana, Senegal, or Zimbabwe.

The programme, which is aimed at promoting networking opportunities and incubation and acceleration support for innovators in Europe and Africa, includes a scaling diagnostic, an intensive online bootcamp, sponsored travel to Ghana, customised online support, and access to key platforms and networks.

Selected participants will undergo a scaling diagnostic to identify their individual needs. This will be followed by an intensive online bootcamp over a week which covers topics such as scaling strategies, business culture in Africa, financing scaling, and more.

Participants will have an enabling environment to build sustainable, strategic relationships within the continent based on the diagnostic and roadmap.

The Ghana trip involves a tailored, in-person experience with investors, programme partners, and other founders and leaders to help accelerate your venture’s success on the continent. Customised online support for two weeks after the scaling week in the West African country is also available, along with access to key entrepreneurial platforms, the ENRICH in Africa network, and an Impact Hub co-working space in your host country for up to six months.

The programme uses the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals to ensure that selected participants positively impact the markets they are scaling to. This means that entrepreneurs who participate in the programme are not only expanding their business, but are also making a positive contribution to the continent.

To be eligible for the ENRICH in Africa programme, applicants must be a member of the African diaspora and over the age of 18. They must also be available to fully participate in the programme activities, including the online bootcamp from Thursday, 27 April to Tuesday, 2 through to Friday, 5 May, up to four hours per day, and weekly sessions from Monday, 8 May to Sunday, 11 June.

Selected participants will also be required to attend a full week of the Accra visit from Monday, 12 to Saturday, 17 June and complete weekly sessions from the two weeks thereafter, ranging from two to three hours per week.

Applicants must have an intermediate level of written and spoken English and must have already made the decision to scale their venture to one of the participating countries: Ghana, Senegal, or Zimbabwe. They must also demonstrate the need for their venture in one of the target markets.

In addition, applicants must be able to demonstrate the social or environmental impact of their venture, preferably using the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals. The venture should have a solid track record and the financial and organisational position to scale successfully.

The ENRICH in Africa programme is an initiative of the European Union aimed at promoting networking opportunities and incubation and acceleration support for entrepreneurs and innovators in Africa and Europe. Impact Hub is offering the scaling programme to African diaspora entrepreneurs and innovators in Europe as part of the programme.
