B2B online platform Kilimo Fresh was placed second while Zanzibar Health Innovation — a healthtech startup which is building an artificial intelligence (AI) cardiologist robot — took third place.

Sheria Kiganjani will now represent Tanzania at the Seedstars regional summit

Sheria Kiganjani will now represent Tanzania at the Seedstars Africa summit which will be held in Johannesburg in December (see this story) in addition to access to a three month investment readiness programme.

At the Africa summit, Sheria Kiganjani will get a chance to win a spot to attend the Seedstars Global Summit in Switzerland where the winning startup will take home a $500 000 investment prize.

Sheria Kiganjani co-founder Neema Magimba (pictured above), commenting in a statement on Saturday (24 August), said winning the event is a feeling that “no money in the world can buy”.

“We are super happy and getting ready to represent Dar es Salaam and Tanzania at the regional and global competition,” added Magimba.
