These are the nine Rwandan startups pitching today at Seedstars Kigali
Seedstars World, one of the world’s biggest competitions for emerging market tech startups, has announced the names of the nine startups that will pitch today at Seedstars Kigali.
The event will be held at Westerwelle Startup Haus in the Rwandan capital. It is not clear what time it will kick-off.
The Seedstars Kigali winner will represent Rwanda at the Seedstars Africa summit which will be held in Johannesburg in December (see this story) where they will get a chance to win a spot at the Seedstars Global Summit in Switzerland.

The nine startups will pitch in front of a jury that includes BeneFactors founder Olivia Zank, Seedstars regional partnerships manager for Africa Maryam Mgonja and PikiWash CEO Kanamugire Junior.
The nine are:
- OM Brilliant: Mobile apps that helps users save money, purchase, check balances and exchange money stored on prepaid cards and tags
- Bag Innovation: Talent matching platform
- Sanlend: Online lending platform which helps employees to request for short term loan for emergencies
- Jali Finance: Develops innovative financial products for individuals and enterprises that were previously considered as non-bankable
- Panatech: Developed ecommerce platform Iduka Online
- Hatch Plus: Hatch Plus has developed a solar-powered smart egg incubator that incubates and hatches up to 30 000 eggs into chickens at a time
- Exuus: Digital and inter-operable decentralised ledger for saving groups
- Higaneza: Developed a smart big data platform which helps farmers to exchange farming input data
