Solar solutions firm Nadji.Bi Gambia wins Seedstars Banjul
Nadji.Bi Gambia, a firm that offers solar solutions to a potential potential customer base of 1.3-million people, has won this year’s Seedstars Banjul pitching event.
The Seedstars Banjul winner is a subsidiary of the Nadji.Bi Group which was established in Senegal in 2014.
The company, which has offices in Cameroon, Burkina Faso, France and Guiné Bissau, specialises in the research and development as well as manufacturing of solar products.
Nadji.Bi Gambia and will now represent Gambia at the Seedstars Africa summit which will be held in Johannesburg in December (see this story) where the company will get a chance to win a spot at the Seedstars Global Summit in Switzerland.

Ang Capital, which provides instant loans and easy payments for transactions online with or without the use of the internet, was placed second at Seedstars Banjul. This, while cashless city bus service Yobuma Transportation took third place.
The winners were selected by a panel that included Ace Communication’s Fatim Badjie Sinyan, Global Properties’ Saul Frazer, Khamsys Technologies’ Mbaye Kah, Insist Global founder and CEO Seedy Bensouda, J-Financial Services CEO Muhammad M Jagana, GIZ’s Suwaibou Cham and Bridging Gaps Advisory CEO Ramatoulie B Gaye.
Continuing on its world tour of fast-growing startup scenes in emerging markets, Seedstars World’s next stop is the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) at Ingenious City on Wednesday (18 September) to select the best startup in the country at Seedstars Kinshasa.
