Rwandan software development firm Exuus has emerged the winner of last Friday’s Seedstars Kigali pitching event.
Kigali-based Exuus has developed a digital and inter-operable decentralised ledger for saving groups. The startup was founded in 2014 by CEO Shema Steve (pictured above, middle).

Exuus will now represent Rwanda at the Seedstars Africa summit which will be held in Johannesburg in December (see this story) where the startup will get a chance to win a spot at the Seedstars Global Summit in Switzerland.

In all nine startups pitched at Seedstars Kigali (see this story).
Talent matching platform Bag Innovation was placed second. This, while Hatch Plus, startup that has developed a solar-powered smart egg incubator that incubates and hatches up to 30 000 eggs into chickens at a time, was placed third.
Continuing on its world tour of fast-growing startup scenes in emerging markets, Seedstars World’s next stop is the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) at Ingenious City on Wednesday (18 September) to select the best startup in the country at the Seedstars Kinshasa pitching event.
