Here are the startups pitching today at Cameroon’s Seedstars Douala

Swiss emerging market startup competition Seedstars World has named the 11 startups that will pitch today at Seedstars Douala in Cameroon.

It’s not clear when the event will start, however, it will be held at ActivSpaces in Douala.

The winner of the event will represent Cameroon at the Seedstars Africa regional summit in Johannesburg in December.

At the regional summit, today’s winner will have the opportunity to be selected to join a three-month growth programme as well as the Global Seedstars Summit where they stand to win up to $500 000 in equity funding.

A jury panel comprised of Appstech founder Rebecca Enonchong, ST Digital founder and CEO Anthony Same, Heubo deputy general manager financial capital Willy Delort and Microsoft director of publicy Serge Ntamack.

The 11 startups pitching at the event are:

  • Agrix Tech: Has developed an AI-powered solution that equips smallholder farmers with crop disease diagnosis skills
  • Advanced and Suitable Technologies for Africa: The startup’s platform helps manage patient medical records.
  • Clinicplant: Web and mobile application that diagnoses crop and animal diseases from an image
  • Colorful: Music streaming platform that streams and promotes Cameroonian and African music
  • Digital Renter: Proptech platform that helps users advertise, search for and manage rentals
  • Infiuss: Digital blood sourcing and delivery platform
  • Ishangoo: Digital micro-saving box which help adults save by enabling them to put aside money they don’t want to spend
  • Kiffcodes: Developed Fret Transport, a logistics management system
  • Lyon Technologies: Developed Maliwa, a self-powered smart digital water meter
  • ScolaryX: Online learning platform offering high quality courses and personalised learner follow-ups
  • Vehseh: A management system that enables retail managers or owners to monitor sales remotely in real-time
